Alejandro Carrasco met with academic leaders from four continents at the Global Education Deans Forum 2025 in Nashville, USA.

During an academic internship at the GEPS Center at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​Dean Alejandro Carrasco held meetings with university authorities and visited a school with a high migrant diversity.

A total of 12 specialists were responsible for preparing the report, which seeks to guide the work on amendments to two parliamentary motions.

11 experts will be part of this group, convened by Mineduc, which will prepare recommendations for possible modifications to SAE.

The report, presented to the Higher Management by Dean Alejandro Carrasco, showed the achievements obtained by the Faculty in its training mission, the consolidation of its research profile, as well as the development of a Faculty concerned about its community, under a policy of sustainable resource management.

Dean Alejandro Carrasco and academics Verónica Cabezas and Ernesto Treviño were part of the advisory team that accompanied UNDP throughout the evaluation.

The event brought together leaders from different Faculties and Schools of Education, who discussed the global challenges in teacher training and formulated new strategies to connect their training with the future challenges of societies.

The report of 18 recommendations was prepared by the Council for Educational Reactivation, in which the Catholic University participated. The instance is part of the Educational Reactivation Plan of the Ministry of Education.

Dean Alejandro Carrasco will moderate two panels and present two papers. Paulo Volante, director of the Department of Theory and Politics and Álvaro Salinas, director of the Department of Curriculum, Technology and Evaluation, will also make a presentation.
