UC Education Academics are awarded the Fund for the Improvement and Innovation in Teaching

The unit teachers who received awards for their projects were Aurora Badillo, Florencia Gómez, Cecilia Ramírez and Carmen Gloria Zúñiga.

 

To support and make visible projects that allow improvement and innovation in teaching practice, the Academic Vice Rector of the Catholic University delivers annually the Fund for the Improvement and Innovation in Teaching (Fondedoc) to academics from the different units of the house of studies. In its 34th version, four professors from the Faculty of Education were awarded this fund: Aurora Badillo Tello, Florencia Gómez, Cecilia Ramírez and Carmen Gloria Zúñiga.

Their proposals aim enhance the learning of the school community through teacher improvement. The project of the academic Aurora Badillo, for example, deals with teacher training focused on project-based learning, in the Pedagogical Training Program who led until 2021.

Since its creation in 1988, the Fondedoc has financed more than 1.500 projects in different areas, contributing to the teaching function and the educational plan of the university.

The projects awarded by UC Education academics this year were:

  • Aurora Badillo Tello: “Teacher training in project-based learning (ABP): pedagogical intervention and design of educational resources for the internship system, UC Education Pedagogical Training Program”
  • Florencia Gómez: "Design of a training proposal for supervising teachers of UC Pedagogies"
  • Cecilia Ramirez: "Heritage and gender: a learning methodology through an interactive heritage route on normal women"
  • Carmen Gloria Zuniga: "Link between History, Geography and Citizenship: Problematization and Human Rights in Basic Education"
