The support to the more than 480 professionals from nine schools in the commune is delivered through the course taught by the UC Center for Educational Transformation, CENTER. The program considers face-to-face and remote classes, and began in December 2021.

Two experts in the field, Valeria Cabello, from the Catholic University, and Diana Rodríguez, from the National Pedagogical University of Mexico, shared and reflected on school science education experiences that address phenomena such as earthquakes and tsunamis, and how they contribute to the prevention.

That was the main problem addressed in the Seminar "Theatrical tools in pedagogy: partner and psychodrama for teacher training", led by the UMCE academic, Lery Mejías.

The instance materialized in the course "School Innovation", given to first-year students of the career. In the exhibition, the students presented an initiative that seeks to address student motivation and school retention.

The initiative Together for an Initial Education 2030 for the future of Chile, led by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Fundación Choshuenco, brings together 19 entities from the academic world and civil society with the aim of promoting learning opportunities for boys and girls from the country.

This was the main theme of the webinar "Socio-Educational Clinic: The mental health of teachers in a pandemic", which was carried out jointly by the Faculty of Education and the School of Social Work of the Catholic University.

Within the framework of the COVID19 inter-university work table, a new report was presented that provides navigation routes for teachers in the school system. The webinar was held this Wednesday, August 4, and was attended by more than 260 people connected from different parts of Latin America.

Four online seminars will be held between July 12 and 15, led by professors from the Faculty of Education of the Catholic University. The free activity aims to provide tools to enhance learning.

For three years now, the contest for third and sixth grade students from all over Chile, "The pleasure of hearing reading", has had the academic support of the University, through the technical support of the Faculty of Education, and the dedicated evaluation carried out by students of both this career and the Faculty of Letters.

What we are witnessing today is a crisis of meaning. On the one hand, we have a school apparatus that continues to try to impose itself through more methodological tricks, technological distractions and political justifications. On the other, we have the subject, who needs to know himself recognized as such in his singularity, mirrored in a pedagogical relationship with another, and whose study process is significant.

The instance was created and coordinated from the UC Faculty of Education by its Dean and has the support of the Siemens Stiftung Foundation. The launch was carried out within the framework of the 2021 International Education Summit.
