The first international seminar of the Motrix UC Seedbed brought together students, academics, and experts to reflect on the contemporary challenges of physical education, health, and sports, promoting undergraduate research as a tool for pedagogical and social transformation.

A total of 153 graduates of the UC Faculty of Education's Teacher Training Program graduated in a ceremony held at the San Joaquín Campus.

The event, organized by the UC Faculty of Education and the Center for Intercultural and Indigenous Studies (CIIR), featured a keynote address by Melinda Webber, a prominent Māori scholar from the University of Auckland.

The event, organized by the Gender Sub-Directorate, addressed the risks of digital communities that promote hate speech and the challenges facing education regarding digital gender-based violence.

As part of Coexistence Week, organized by the Restorative Justice Network in Chilean Universities, UC hosted a day of workshops and talks for representatives from more than ten higher education institutions.

The meeting brought together authorities, professors, and novice students in a space for reflection on pedagogy and its diverse educational contexts.

The guides are made available by the UC Education Gender Subdirectorate to the entire community as essential material for building more just, inclusive, and violence-free educational spaces.

The number of participants at the event has increased year after year, which is “very positive, because we are trying to have an impact not only in Chile, but in the region,” said Daniela Véliz, vice dean of Education at UC, organizer of one of the Summit sessions.

It will take place between January 13 and 15 through two free online sessions, and will feature prominent national and international speakers.

The Internship System organized this day of reflection and improvement of the skills required for tutoring.

The work connects research, public policy and educational practice, offering a framework for thinking beyond specific reforms and projecting educational systems from a long-term perspective.
