Gender Sub-directorate organizes workshop on sexual diversity and university community

The workshop was attended by officials and professionals from various areas of the faculty, who reflected on key issues related to gender diversity.

On October 22, the workshop entitled "Sexual Diversity and the University Community: Educating for Inclusion" organized by the Gender Sub-directorate of the Faculty of Education. The activity, facilitated by social anthropologist Sebastián Bravo, took place in the Mabel Condemarín Room and was attended by officials and professionals from various areas of the faculty.

Participants included representatives from Basic Education, Interfaculties, English Pedagogy, and Physical Education Pedagogy, as well as staff from the Economic and Management Department, the Student Development Sub-Department, and the Master's Program. This diversity of attendees reflected the university community's cross-cutting commitment to building a more inclusive and respectful space.
The workshop combined a conceptual part, where key issues related to gender diversity were addressed, and reflection activities that allowed attendees to connect these concepts with their daily realities. The importance of this training was highlighted due to the constant work with students, making evident the need to generate inclusive and responsible educational spaces in the training of future teachers.

The excellent reception of the workshop by the participants underlined the relevance of the topic in university education. During the day, several attendees expressed the value of receiving this type of training to foster a more inclusive institutional culture that promotes respect and diversity at all levels.
