educational leadership
The School Management and Leadership Conference will take place on January 14 and 15. It is focused on educational leadership and seeks to enhance school management through understanding, measuring and exchanging good practices.
This instance explains paulo volante, UC Education professor and director of the conference, will be “an especially broad space for a global reflection on effective educational leadership. Our international speakers belong to diverse traditions and latitudes, but they converge on the importance of a school leadership centered on the experience of teaching and learning, and on educational achievements in school careers. There are perspectives from Asia, North America and Latin America through our speakers, but also the perspective of national experts who will comment and discuss this definition of an instructional leadership focused on the professional development of teachers and students.”
This event, Volante says, is relevant to current Chilean education. “Today we are challenged to show how the school system takes charge of progress, the development of personal and learning skills in the more than 3.600 students, and particularly the challenge of closing educational gaps between the different segments of our school population.
