The Faculty of Educationof the Pontifical Catholic University of ChileIt was founded in 1942. Since then our mission has been to train future teachers, teachers and researchers in the area of Chile.
During our 80 years of existence we have trained more than twenty thousand teachers in our ten careers and undergraduate training programs and our Master's and Doctorate programs.

The Faculty of Education of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile has been recognized for its high academic standards, prestige and quality of its teacher training. Our academics investigate what they teach and are committed to strengthening the professional capacities of the students of the different careers and undergraduate and postgraduate programs of the faculty.
Our Faculty has four specialized departments in different areas of teacher training. These are Learning and Development; Curriculum, Technology and Assessment; didactics; and Theory and Policy in Education.
It nourishes the pedagogical training of future teachers, both initial and continuous, from kindergarten to high school, with knowledge of educational and evolutionary psychology, educational neuroscience, educational guidance and inclusive education.
It is dedicated to the study of educational processes related to what to teach, how to evaluate and how to use technological resources for learning.
The unit studies the teaching and learning process, with emphasis on the articulation of theory and practice, considering the interdisciplinary dimension, the disciplines of the school curriculum and its didactics, and the different levels of the educational system.
It focuses on the study of the relationships between individuals, society and the educational system, from various disciplines, for the advancement of the quality and development of education in the country.
We have a multidisciplinary team of excellent professionals and administrators who carry out their tasks with great commitment to ensure the operation and management of each of the units that make up the Faculty of Education.
From UC Education we contribute to the development of our students through different activities and programs, as well as the link with the different central areas of the University that allow them to develop their academic life.
The students of the UC Faculty of Education democratically and annually elect their representatives who hold positions as spokespersons for the Student Centers and Territorial Councilors, whose function is to be the contact between the Faculty and the Federation of Students of the Catholic University (FEUC).
TAI-certified Strategies of the Catholic University aims to strengthen academic training with the exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate student experiences through internships, mobility programs and courses in different parts of the world.
Convinced that the training of future teachers needs a curriculum based on practice, from the UC Education Practices System We promote and provide our students with a series of coherent and integrated experiences in order to contribute to the training of excellent preschool educators and basic and secondary education teachers in Chile.
El Observatory of Digital Educational Practices (OPED) Its general objective is to investigate, develop and implement a training plan so that students and teachers have the necessary skills that allow them to teach in a digital context both inside and outside the university.
