This is an effort that adds to the recent mentoring plan launched in April , which seeks to support new professors and professors in their first steps in the world of work, but now seeks to generate a direct link with the Faculty. “The meeting sought to create conditions for, through collaborative dialogue, form a network or organization of people graduated from UC Pedagogies", Explain Florence Gomez, academic and head ofPracticum Programme, who was one of the organizers. In the instance, she points out, different ideas and concerns arose, among them "the creation of a space for communication and information on the Faculty's website and the maintenance of contacts between graduates and graduates."

Leaving the classrooms of the university, being a student, and face the halls of a school, as a teacher or teacher, is a reality faced by all new teachers of the world and that can be a complex stage for many. “The transition from university life to professional life is a very hard step, the truth is, finding out what the country's reality is is something that is not easy to learn”, explains Rosario.

However, he adds, training in UC It served as a guide to face the process: "I think the university gave us very good tools and I do believe that it is necessary to have more networks to know how to graduate and where to go," he says. something to match Daniel Vicencio, graduated from Pedagogical Training Program in 2021, who points out that "I have to emphasize a lot that UC Pedagogies are of a very good academic level, very avant-garde and up-to-date… I feel that one draws a lot from disciplinary, emotional knowledge and from different areas that make you graduate more complete”.

According to the teacher in Language and Communication, graduating from pedagogy means a commitment to the training of future citizens: “I feel a bit ambitious when teachers say that we can change the world, but it still feels a bit like that. I feel that the importance of pedagogy is that, that one achieves impact on people who are just forming during adolescence and childhood. That should be the focus of pedagogy, not teaching content for the sake of teaching it, but focusing on specific strategies and skills to deal with life's problems”, he explains.

In the same line, for Javiera Gonzalez, graduated in 2021 from Pedagogy in Early Childhood Education , “pedagogy is a pillar in social education. It is one of the most important careers for society. I believe that during the first years of life, different skills and different strategies are generated that boys and girls use to develop. For this reason, educators can generate social beings, who are respectful and kind and who can generate a positive impact on society”.

The educator was part of the Pedagogies alumni who participated in the meeting and assures that she hopes that a space of support and guidance can be generated among the graduates of the different UC Education careers.
