About this degree
The UC Pedagogies are characterized by having a curriculum centered on Areas, for which our program contemplates, in the educational courses, both didactic and Areas, opportunities to make effective specialized pedagogical knowledge with different levels of approach. At the university, videos, transcripts, curricular materials, student work are observed and analyzed, tests and simulations are carried out in less authentic contexts and with progressive levels of complexity. Opportunities to practice at the school start from the first year of training.

Curriculum
The curriculum of Basic General Pedagogy contemplates founding, pedagogical, disciplinary and didactic courses as well as the development of five practices progressively from the first year. The design of the courses contains different degrees of approximation to the school environments in which the training process is nurtured from the different areas. Regarding the specializations, in the ninth semester of the degree, you can choose between the mention of Natural Sciences, History, Geography and Social Sciences, Language o Mathematics.
Credits
The degree in Pedagogy in Basic Education contemplates five major training areas, which are related to each other throughout the study plan, and differ in terms of their formative emphases. These areas are called:
- UC General Training Area: 70 credits.
- Disciplinary Training Area: 200 credits.
- Training area in pedagogical processes and decisions: 110 credits.
- Area of Identity Formation and Professional Development: 70 credits.
- Training area in question: 50 credits.
For each of the areas, a set of curricular activities has been defined that allow the achievement of the knowledge, skills and attitudes involved in the competencies defined for obtaining the degree of Bachelor of Education (400 credits) and the professional title ( 500 credits) with a duration of 10 semesters.

Requirements
There are different pathways for admission to the Pedagogy in Basic Education course at UC Pedagogies.
- Regular Admission: This system admits the entry of students who obtain a minimum application score equivalent to 500 points and a minimum weighted application score equivalent to 570 points from the Higher Education Admission Test (PAES).
This score is calculated with the percentage of the total high school grades (NEM), the ranking of the establishment from which he graduated, together with the score obtained in the entrance exams for higher education.
The score is broken down as follows:
- NEM: 25%
- Ranking.: 25%
- Reading Competence: 20%
- Mathematics Competition 1: 20%
- History and Social Sciences or Science: 10%
- Admission Equity: This system expands admission opportunities to students who failed to take the equity university selection tests. The equitable admission systems correspond to: Talent and Inclusion, Admission for people with disabilities, Intercultural Admission, Gender Equity Theology, Quota Women in Sciences, BEA Supernumerary Quota and PACE Quota (Accompaniment Program and Effective Access to Higher Education).
Special Admission: This admission route is addressed to all applicants who have higher education, to applicants who are in unequal conditions to take the admission tests and outstanding applicants in the national sports, artistic or scientific field.

The Basic Education teachers are professionals who stand out for their leadership, which allows them to successfully insert themselves into various work contexts such as: public and private educational centers, educational management and team leadership, pedagogical study and research centers, institutions dedicated to the design of educational material and government analysis and design institutions. of educational policies.
Work Field
The graduates of Basic Pedagogy may work in any public or private educational establishment or in various research institutions in which pedagogical training is required, being able to advise, design and prepare educational materials that support the learning of boys and girls, covering from 1st to 6th year of Basic General Education and from 3rd to 6th Basic as a specialist according to the mention made.
