The Curriculum, Technology and Assessment Department trains undergraduate and graduate students, researches and disseminates knowledge and practices on what should be taught in the education system, how to assess teaching and learning processes and outcomes, and how to Technological resources open opportunities and challenge education.

This academic unit is concerned with the study of educational processes related to what, when and how to teach and evaluate.
The department is made up of academics from the Faculty specializing in these areas, who produce, communicate, and disseminate knowledge through their research, their teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, diploma courses, courses, workshops, seminars, conferences and consultancies and participation in instances of design, implementation and evaluation of public policies in these areas.
The department is related to the academic, cultural, social, productive, public and private world, nationally and internationally, through various research centers, programs and projects. The members of the department have trained and advised educational establishments, participated in commissions for the design, implementation and evaluation of educational policies in the school curriculum, educational evaluation systems and selection of students for admission to higher education, inclusion of digital resources and skills in teaching and learning, among other initiatives.
This department brings together academics specialized in the areas of curriculum, educational evaluation and educational technology, who generate, communicate and disseminate knowledge through their research, in addition to their teaching in the different training programs for educators in the programs and degrees of UC Faculty of Education.

The event brought together leaders from different Faculties and Schools of Education, who discussed the global challenges in teacher training and formulated new strategies to connect their training with the future challenges of societies.
The meeting is part of the international project Global Youth Climate Pact, initiated in the run-up to COP 21, and seeks to give prominence to the concerns and proposals that young people have about climate change.
The meeting was part of UC Education's commemorative activities for the 50th anniversary of the coup d'état.
