MISSION
The main purpose of the Gender Subdirectorate is the coordination of comprehensive and three-sector training initiatives on gender issues in the community of the Faculty of Education, UC, considering the areas of initial teacher training, academic development, research and links with the environment.
VISION
The Gender Subdirectorate of the UC Faculty of Education aspires to build an educational community that considers the gender perspective in all areas of academic work and initial teacher training, promoting tri-state participatory actions that guarantee training and coexistence free of violence and gender discrimination.

The activity was organized by the Gender Sub-directorate and included a presentation by academic Valentina Errázuriz.
The day of reflection and dialogue on diversity in initial teacher training was supported by the Gender Sub-directorate, the Student Development Sub-directorate and the Physical Education and Health Career Directorate.
The workshop was attended by officials and professionals from various areas of the faculty, who reflected on key issues related to gender diversity.
The event brought together PhD students and academics with the aim of exploring new methodologies to address social justice from a feminist perspective.
The meeting was led by Lelya Troncoso, a feminist social psychologist from the University of Chile.
The talk entitled “The limits of (sexual) consent, reports of violence and the problems of punitivism” was organized by the Gender Sub-directorate of the UC Faculty of Education, the Gender Sub-directorate of the Faculty of History, Geography and Political Science, and the Gender Equality Unit of the School of Civil Construction.
"Mapping Gender for Mainstreaming in Initial Teacher Training Programs" is the name of the project.
