UC Education Doctorate students are awarded CORFO's Semilla Inicia project

They are Dany López González and Macarena Salas Aguayo, senior students in the postgraduate program of the Faculty of Education of the Catholic University, who lead a project that seeks to facilitate the development of evaluation instruments and school trajectory.

TrajecTics is a developing platform created by two students from the PhD in Education from the Catholic University, Dany López González and Macarena Salas Aguayo, which allows the tracing and monitoring of educational trajectories of students. This innovation project was recently awarded the fund seed starts 21INI-165708 of CORFO and whose development will contribute to the sustained improvement of schools.

“This innovative platform offers various evaluation alternatives, for now focused on the disciplines of mathematics and language, which are aligned with the national curriculum”, explain the creators of the initiative that will allow teachers to choose between various questions to develop assessment instruments that fit their students and different school contexts.

“Based on the results obtained from these evaluations, it will be possible to monitor student learning in real time, gathering key information on their individual and collective learning trajectories. In this way, TrayecTics seeks to promote evidence-based pedagogical decision-making and contribute to all actors in educational communities. that have been strongly affected in times of pandemic”, they add.

The prototype of the platform is currently in full development, sponsored by the 3IE incubator, together with an interdisciplinary group of professors and professors, item creators, web developers and startup experts. As students of the PhD in Education UC, Dany López and Macarena Salas have published in various indexed journals on topics related to this pedagogical innovation, and they ensure that training in el postgraduate program has encouraged them to "transit from educational research to innovation and the development of proposals for the sustained improvement of educational communities”.
