QS Ranking: UC Education stands out once again among the top 50 in the world and number 1 in Chile and Latin America

This is the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020 list, which measures universities by areas of knowledge. The Catholic University unit was ranked 47th worldwide.

For the sixth consecutive year, Education UC is positioned at the highest level in Latin America and Ibero-American in the QS World University Rankings. In the 2021 edition of the international list, the unit was ranked 47th worldwide and first in Chile and Latin America, being again one of the only two Latin American institutions integrated into the top 50, along with the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 49th place.

The measurement, published by the English consultancy Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), compares universities from around the world in different areas of training – including Education -, where the Catholic University ranked 121 among all schools. Four other UC disciplines were ranked among the 50 best in their areas: Modern Languages ​​(27), Civil and Structural Engineering (32), Law (37) and Architecture (41),

The parameters that the university ranking measures include academic reputation and research, the relationship with professors and international students, and the relationship between students and their faculties. Other Chilean schools included in the Education discipline were the University of Chile (101-150), the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and the University of Santiago, both between positions 301-350.
