Latin American Study: Parenting and child development of Latin American children during the pandemic

The Latin American Study examines how parenting practices at home affect the child development of preschool children in 15 Latin American and Caribbean countries spanning rich cultural diversity. The study tests innovative, culturally sensitive, and remotely applicable measures of parenting and child development. It is important to make visible how early childhood is experienced in Latin America and the Caribbean, especially in these complex times of the global health and economic crisis. In many of the countries included in the Latin American Study there are no previous data on this very important topic. The findings of this study can guide early childhood public policies.
