The report of 18 recommendations was prepared by the Council for Educational Reactivation, in which the Catholic University participated. The instance is part of the Educational Reactivation Plan of the Ministry of Education.

The 23 members of the Council for Educational Reactivation delivered this Monday at the National Library a recommendation report to the Minister of Education Marco Antonio Avila, instance where the dean of Education UC participated Alejandro Carrasco.

The Council, in which the Catholic University participated, has been held since January within the framework of the Educational Reactivation Plan Prepared by the Mineduc, Which aims to mitigate and overcome the effects of two years of non-attendance.

The team was made up of representatives of civil society organizations, academia, educational communities, and international organizations, who developed the report of 18 proposals, articulated around the three axes of the Educational Reactivation Plan: Coexistence and mental health, Strengthening of learning and Assistance and reconnection.

The dean Alejandro Carrasco, who collaborated in the representation of the campus in the Council, explains that "the participation of the Catholic University in the Council for Educational Reactivation, through the rector, gave support, vision and feedback to what the Ministry was doing, in addition to helping to reach a dialogue with the rest of the universities. that gave legitimacy and idea of ​​sustainability to the three axes that the Ministry worked”.

During the ceremony, Minister Marco Antonio Ávila delivered words to the members of the council, whom he deeply thanked for the collective effort "to reach transversal agreements in a subject as important as education. This work is an example of what we can achieve when we put children and adolescents at the center of public policy".

The executive secretary of the Educational Reactivation Plan, Joaquin Walker, stressed that "these recommendations have been a contribution of people who represent different institutions, experiences and sensibilities, that have come together in a process of meeting, dialogue, participation and construction, which today closes a stage with the delivery of this report”.

The recommendations will be studied by the Ministry of Education, who will deliver a response to the Council. The full report can be read at this link.
