Tutoring Program

With the aim of leveling gaps and mitigating the consequences of the pandemic on school education, the Chilean Ministry of Education implemented the National Tutoring Program in recent years, where the UC Faculty of Education provided more than 100 students as educational tutors . The Program is given within the framework of the National Educational Reactivation Plan.

The 109 educational tutors were distributed in 59 subsidized establishments, 11 Local Public Education Services and 39 municipal ones, benefiting a total of 732 schoolchildren.

Having participated in the Mineduc tutorials, says Aurora Badillo, head of the Practice System, shows the commitment and concern to respond to an urgent and complex need that is experienced at the country level in schools.

“The motivation of our teachers in training for wanting to be part of these processes of support for students in their internship processes that they carry out in schools, was something even more motivating and shows the seal of public commitment that we try to instill in future teachers. We are very happy with the contribution we have been able to make and we hope to continue collaborating from the Pedagogías UC practice area to the tutoring that Mineduc is promoting,” Badillo mentioned.
