QS Ranking recognizes UC Education as a Latin American leader in Education

The prestigious QS World University Rankings placed the UC Faculty of Education in global position No. 32, increasing three positions compared to 2022 and leading the list of Latin American and Ibero-American universities.

 

This week the annual ranking "QS World University" published the results of its 2023 version, where good news for the Pontificia Universidad Católica and for the Faculty of Education UC.

According to the latest version of the prestigious ranking, in the “Education and Training” category, the Faculty of Education UC is a leader in Chile, Latin America and Ibero-America, ranking globally at number 32 and advancing three positions compared to the previous year. The measurement, published by the British company QS Quacquarelli Symonds, analyzed 15.700 study programs belonging to 1.594 institutions worldwide.

"We receive with joy and humility a result that makes us redouble our commitment and passion to contribute advanced educational research and excellent teaching that contribute to an educational system of greater justice and to train teachers for the challenges of the 21st century," he said. Alejandro Carrasco, dean of the Faculty of Education.

The UC Faculty of Education obtained a general score of 79,7 points, obtaining high results in each of the categories evaluated: Academic Reputation (75,9), Employer Reputation (88.2), Citations per Paper (83,7) and H-index Citations (81).

The British measurement also positioned the Pontificia Universidad Católica as a house of studies in the 121st position in the world, leading the list of Chilean universities and rising 14 positions compared to the last period. According to reputation indicators, it ranks 40th globally in academic reputation and achieves the highest position in Latin America in employer reputation: 19th worldwide.
