QS Ranking recognizes UC Education as a Latin American leader

The prestigious QS World University Rankings placed the UC in the discipline of Education in global position No. 33, leading the list of Latin American and Ibero-American universities.

This Wednesday, April 10, the annual “QS World University” ranking published the results of its 2024 version, resulting in good news for the Pontifical Catholic University. 

According to the latest version of the prestigious ranking, in the “Education and Training” category, the UC Education discipline is a leader in Chile and Latin America, ranking 33rd overall in 2024. The measurement, published by the British company QS Quacquarelli Symonds, analyzed the programs of 1.559 institutions around the world. 

“We receive this distinction with satisfaction and humility. It reinforces our task of contributing to the country's education. It is also a recognition of the excellent and committed work carried out by our academic staff in research and teaching in education within our Faculty but also within the UC, while recognizing the work of our administrative and professional community in the development of these standards,” highlighted the Dean of UC Education, Alejandro Carrasco.

In the category, an overall score of 80,1 points was obtained, obtaining high results in each of the categories evaluated: Academic Reputation (78,1), Employer Reputation (90,7), Citations per Paper (82,9) and H-index Citations (77,1). 

According to QS, the Catholic University is ranked among the best institutions in the world in 37 areas, three more than the previous year.
