The talk was focused on the 2023-2025 school system.
The prestigious QS World University Rankings placed the UC Faculty of Education in global position No. 32, increasing three positions compared to 2022 and leading the list of Latin American and Ibero-American universities.
During the meeting, in which the Newcomer Welcome was also held, authorities, student representatives and Francisca Elgueta, winner of the Global Teacher Prize 2022, participated.
Nearly 130 students participated in welcome activities, including talks on mental health and self-care.
More than one hundred students joined this 2023 to the seven mentions of the UC Master's Program.
In total there are 185 Doctors in Education graduated from UC Education.
The event was attended by Claudia Lagos, Undersecretary for Early Childhood Education, and Linda Mitchell, WMIER academic from the University of Waikato, New Zealand.
The doctoral thesis student, Macarena Salas, together with her thesis director, Lorena Medina, presented the research regarding the learning for the implementation of mentoring in Chile.
The mentoring initiative implemented in the Faculty of Education in 2017, and in which 34 regular faculty have participated, today serves as a model for the pilot program that the UC Academic Vice-Rectorate implements in different faculties.
The academic, who is leaving the Faculty today, imprinted her time at UC through two milestones in her career: The Pedagogical Training Program and the Internship System.
